Sealey City...
Early 1954.
Probably not the most corrupt city in the US but, bless its shrivelled little heart,
it tries. Of course, since the Sealey family has owned most of it since they founded
the place, traditional organised crime hasn't managed to get much of a grip on it.
(Maybe the serial killers scared them off.)

This is Lost country - Changelings (and Fetches) are by far the most numerous
supernatural beings and dominate the supernatural society by sheer numbers
if nothing else.

The Freehold is comparatively young - that is while the Freehold itself is only a little
younger than the city, most of The Lost in the region have been around for less than
to decades and often barely one.

Possibly some event wiped out most of the older ones, leaving the Courts and
Thrones to these comparative newcomers. Other Supernaturals might know but
they're not talking. At least if nobody's asking.

Either way, the political situation in the Freehold is precarious, as each Monarch
tries to outmaneuver the others and non-Monarchs eye the thrones.

A new group of Changelings have arrived from Arcadia.
By their very existence they shift the balance of power in the city...

Just to be a copycat, here are the characters (in their changeling forms):

Alice "Wahya" Grey
A Hunterheart Beast currently working as bouncer/bodyguard and about to start her
official career as private investigator.
A tall and powerfully built woman – over 6’. Her thick shaggy black hair is cut pretty short (for a woman), but grows down her cheeks like sideburns, She also has long shaggy black hair on her forearms and shins, small claws on her hands and feet, and a wolf’s tail. Her facial features are rather large, with piercing yellow eyes, wolf’s ears and sharp teeth.

Isolde Dei
A Flamesiren Fairest diva working as a nighclub singer.
A very slim fair-skinned woman, 5’8”-5’9” – the hair makes it a bit difficult to say for
sure. Her hair is whitish blue like a flame just below white hot, long and flowing,
flickering like a flame around the edges. Her ice blue eyes are single-colour, with no
pupils, cold and bright – again the colour of something just below white hot. She
projects an aura of “Don’t touch me.” And the impression that if one were still to do
so, One would be unable to tell if the burns were from extreme heat or extreme cold.

Professor John Cover
A Wizened Brewer working as chemistry professor at the local college.
A small, skinny, gnomish man, about 5’5” but seems shorter. His skin is bright blue
and his shaggy grey hair, combined with his deeply lined face, makes him look older
than his actual age of 29. He has brown gimlet eyes.

Blake
A Palewraith Darkling with no formal employment and a growing reputation in the underworld.
A very pale, slender man of slightly above average height (5’11”), with single-colour
black eyes, small sharp teeth, large pointed ears and short but still unruly dark hair.
He – and the clothes he wears - are almost transparent, with a bit of effort you can
even make out the outlines of objects behind him. Shadows seem to ripple under his
skin occasionally, creating an unsettling but fascinating effect.

Tristan Black
A Flowering Fairest employed as pianist at the same nightclub as Alice and Isolde.
A fair-skinned man of athletic build, about 6’ tall. His hair is curly and unruly, the
colour of a red rose, and would reach his cheekbones if it was not tousled up (being
unruly, a few locks tend to escape in that direction anyway). Occasionally small roses
seem to find their way there. His eyes are bright green. His hands are lithe and
delicate-looking, with long and flexible fingers. The texture of his skin is not unlike
that of a rose’s petals.

Desi
Tristan's Hedge Beast Cat (or vice versa - I expect it depends on who you ask).
A HUGE talking black cat.
