MAID the roleplaying game

Actually, it doesn't seem that bad and apparently there is a butler option...

Since there's little point to start more threads dealing with the eternal quest of
digging up neat stuff/games that only I am interested in...

GURPS Thaumatology: Age of Gold
Crime- and evil-fighting alchemists in the 1930s...
Didn't one of them Japanese cartoons feature that?

Dreadful Secrets of Candlewick Manor
Which, unlike Maid and Age of Gold, should fit nicely alongside World of Darkness.
Poor orphaned children with Creepy Skills. In an orphanage that is Gothic in the
early 19th century literature meaning. In a town that fears and shuns the orphans
because they have Creepy Skills like tentacles, corrosive spit, mind-reading, disatser-foretelling or SCIENCE!
And there are monsters. Big horrible lonely monsters that just need a hug. Or a snack.

Not to mention that it's a sourcebook for Monsters and Other Childish Things, which has been described in terms of "Calvin and Hobbes is a different story from Pokémon; Monsters seems to want to split the difference"

Preparing for my next offensive...
(Mind you, the only thing that will save you from encountering a copy of Maid the
roleplaying game would be me moving away before they get it back in stock.)

Grimm the RPG
I realise that most of you would not be too keen on playing kids, even ones trapped
in a dark fairy tale world ruled by the insane Humpty Dumpty, but I am sure that
Clan Botch would find the the summary of the system encouraging:
Quote:
The underlying concept of the Grimm system is that most characters can perform tasks of their level most of the time — exceptional performance or botches are the exception, not the rule.

Zombie Smackdown (All Flesh Must Be Eaten)
wrestlers vs. zombie wrestlers.
My personal inclination is towards Mexican lucha libre, since that particular
style has long tradition of monster-fighting B-movies, making zombie-fighting
luchadors an obvious choice for moving on to

Terra Primate
which is sort of All Flesh Must Be Eaten but with apes instead (with room for
other monster fun and psionics for the humans).
In addition to the luchadors above, I have (from Pyramid) a suggested setting
with superpowered apes (beginning with an ape version of the Fantastic Four)
in the early sixties.

Last, but not least, an actual classic:
Feng Shui
Here, my inclination would be to focus on Heroic Bloodshed type characters and
secret masters in the present, rather than the secret war.
And set either in Hong Kong or the made-up (Encyclopedia game, anybody?) but
conceptually familiar-seeming Thai city Dam Aeng.
